Introduction to Ledger® Live Mobile App

Ledger® Live mobile app extends the functionality of the Ledger hardware wallet to your mobile device. It allows you to manage multiple cryptocurrencies, view real-time balances, track your portfolio, and execute transactions seamlessly. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

Installing Ledger® Live Mobile App

Step 1: Downloading the App

  1. Visit the App Store or Google Play Store: Open the app store on your iOS or Android device.

  2. Search for Ledger® Live: Type "Ledger Live" in the search bar and look for the official app developed by Ledger.

  3. Download and Install: Click on the "Install" button to download and install the app on your device.

Step 2: Setting Up the App

  1. Open Ledger® Live: Once installed, open the app on your mobile device.

  2. Get Started: Tap on "Get Started" to begin the setup process.

  3. Select Your Device: Choose your Ledger hardware wallet model (Ledger Nano S, Ledger Nano X, or Ledger Nano S Plus) from the options provided.

Step 3: Connecting Your Ledger Device

  1. Connect via USB or Bluetooth: Use the provided USB cable to connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your smartphone via an OTG cable, or use Bluetooth if you have a Ledger Nano X.

  2. Enter PIN Code: On your Ledger device, enter your PIN code to unlock it.

Step 4: Initializing Ledger® Live

  1. Follow On-Screen Instructions: The app will guide you through the initialization process, including checking for firmware updates and installing necessary apps on your device.

  2. Set Up a New Wallet or Restore an Existing Wallet: Choose to set up a new wallet or restore an existing wallet using your 24-word recovery seed.

Step 5: Adding Accounts in Ledger® Live

  1. Open Ledger® Live: Ensure your Ledger device is connected and unlocked.

  2. Navigate to Accounts: In the app, go to the "Accounts" tab.

  3. Add New Account: Tap on "Add account," select the cryptocurrency you want to add, and follow the prompts. Ledger® Live will communicate with your device to add the account.

Managing Your Cryptocurrencies in Ledger® Live Mobile App

Sending and Receiving Funds

  1. Receiving Funds:

    • Select Account: Choose the account for the cryptocurrency you wish to receive.

    • Generate Address: Tap on "Receive," and Ledger® Live will generate a receiving address. Verify the address on your Ledger device.

    • Share Address: Share this address with the sender to receive funds.

  2. Sending Funds:

    • Select Account: Choose the account for the cryptocurrency you wish to send.

    • Enter Transaction Details: Tap on "Send," enter the recipient's address, the amount, and any additional transaction details.

    • Confirm Transaction: Verify and confirm the transaction details on your Ledger device.
